View and understand record status chips
Use status chips to see a clear, consistent, user-friendly status for each record across lists and detail pages.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Locate the status chip for a record
Open a list or detail view and find the coloured status chip next to the record to see its current user-friendly status label, such as "In progress".

Step 2: Check for extra status detail
When available, review the smaller secondary text on the chip, which may show a more specific domain term such as "Changes requested" to clarify why attention is needed.

Step 3: Confirm consistent status across views
Open the record from the list into its detail view and verify that the same user-facing status wording is shown in both places, ensuring you are acting on the correct state.

Step 4: Use the icon and text for accessibility
Rely on the combination of text label and status icon on the chip so that status is understandable even without colour, supporting accessible review of records.
