Configure consistent page shell layout
Use the page shell layout so all workspace pages share the same centred content width, padding, and vertical spacing.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open a section page that uses the page shell
Navigate to any section page in the workspace (such as Packages, Workspace, or RAMS) that already uses the standard layout, and confirm the main content sits in a single centred column.
Step 2: Compare column position across related pages
Switch between related pages (for example, from Packages to Workspace to RAMS) and observe that the main column remains aligned in the same horizontal position, giving a consistent experience.
Step 3: Check the default wide layout for register-style pages
On register or list-style pages, verify that the content automatically uses the wider column so tables and larger datasets have enough horizontal space without breaking the shared alignment.
Step 4: Review reading-width pages for focused content
On guidance or narrative-style pages, confirm the content appears in a narrower reading-width column, improving readability while still keeping the column centred and aligned with other pages.
Step 5: Confirm consistent padding and vertical rhythm
Scroll through a few different pages and check that the horizontal padding at the sides and the spacing between content blocks feel consistent, without random extra gaps or cramped sections.
