Configure page header title and actions

Configure the page header so users see a clear title, description and consistent primary and secondary actions.

Steps

Step 1: Open the page settings for the relevant section

Navigate to the section you want to configure and open its page settings so you can adjust the header content.

Step 2: Set a clear page title

Enter a concise, descriptive title that reflects the main object or activity on the page; this appears prominently at the top.

Step 3: Add a short subtitle

Provide one short explanatory sentence in the subtitle field to clarify the purpose of the page; this text is always visible under the title.

Step 4: Define the primary action

Choose a single primary action, such as “Add project”, that appears as the main button in the top right and guides users towards the key task.

Step 5: Configure primary action behaviour

Set what happens when the primary button is used, including any navigation or processing state, so that users see clear labels and progress indicators.

Step 6: Add secondary actions to the More menu

List any additional actions you want available as secondary actions; these are grouped into a single More menu to reduce clutter.

Step 7: Mark any destructive secondary actions

Flag actions such as delete or remove as destructive so they appear clearly differentiated and users can recognise high‑risk options.

Step 8: Highlight onboarding or guided actions

Enable highlighting for any action that should be emphasised during onboarding or product tours so users notice it immediately.

Configure any status or connection indicator to appear next to the page title, helping users quickly see the current state.

Step 10: Review the header layout

Check the page to ensure the title, subtitle, primary button and More menu appear as expected and follow your content style guide.
