Use popovers to show extra context, help text, or actions without sending users to a new page.

Steps​

Step 1: Open a popover from any trigger element​

Identify a button, icon, or link that should reveal extra context and configure it as the popover trigger so that clicking it opens the popover panel.

Step 2: Configure the content and positioning of the popover​

Add the information or controls you want to display inside the popover and set its side, alignment, and offsets so it appears neatly next to the trigger.

Step 3: Ensure the popover is accessible for all users​

Provide an accessible name for the popover so screen readers announce it correctly as a dialog and users understand the context of the additional information.
