Switch between user roles in the development environment

Use the floating user switcher to simulate different user roles in the development environment, allowing you to see how the application behaves for each type of user.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the user switcher menu​

In the bottom-right corner of the screen, select the circular purple button with the user icon to open the user switcher menu. A panel appears showing the current user details and available roles.

Step 2: Review current user information​

At the top of the menu, review the “Current User” section to see the name of the user you are currently impersonating and their user type (for example, Organisation Admin or Standard User).

Step 3: Choose a new user role to simulate​

In the “Switch To” section, select one of the available roles (Organisation Admin, Billing Admin, Standard User, Project User, or Contact Person). The application updates to reflect the permissions and view for the chosen role.
