Record an inspection item outcome

Record the outcome of an individual inspection item, including notes, photos and signatures where required, so field inspections are fully documented.

Steps

Step 1: Review the inspection item details

Open the inspection item to see its name, what is being verified, the acceptance criteria and any tolerance so you can make an informed decision on the outcome.

Step 2: Capture required photos from the field

Use the camera option to take and upload photos directly from site, ensuring you meet any minimum photo requirements before passing the item.

Step 3: Add notes for conditional or failed outcomes

Enter clear notes explaining why the item has failed or is conditional, and include any measured values in the notes where tolerances apply.

Step 4: Record witness or hold point signatures

For hold or witness points, capture the typed name and on-screen signature of the person clearing the hold to provide an auditable record.

Step 5: Choose and submit the inspection outcome

Select Pass, Fail, Conditional or N/A as available for the item, then submit the result so the inspection status is updated and the record is stored.

Step 6: Retry submission if the connection drops

If the network fails, review the on-screen message and retry when possible; all notes, photos, status and signatures are kept until you can resubmit.
