View inspection and permit history for a temporary works item
Review the full inspection timeline and permit history for a single temporary works item from the supervisor dashboard.

Steps
Step 1: Open the inspection history panel
From the supervisor dashboard, select the relevant temporary works item and open its inspection history to view detailed records in a side panel.

Step 2: Review the inspection schedule and status
In the panel header, review the current inspection regime, including trigger types, due dates, and overall inspection status for the selected temporary works.

Step 3: Explore the inspection timeline
Scroll through the chronological inspection timeline to see each completed inspection, including its date, trigger (for example pre-use or weekly), and inspection result such as pass or fail.

Step 4: Check BS 5975 permit history
Within the same timeline, review BS 5975 permit artefacts for the item, including when permits were issued, updated, or closed, and their current status.

Step 5: Review associated permits to work
Look at the "Associated permits to work" entries in the timeline to understand which permit-to-work form instances are linked to this temporary works item and when they were raised.

Step 6: Identify alerts and follow-up actions
Use the visual indicators for failed inspections, observations, or overdue items in the timeline to identify issues that require follow-up or escalation.

Step 7: Close the inspection history panel
When you have finished reviewing the history, close the panel to return to the main supervisor dashboard and continue managing other temporary works items.
