Manage minor Temporary Works quick sign-off allowlist

Configure which Temporary Works categories default to the minor “Quick sign-off” workflow for your project.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Minor TW allowlist settings

Navigate to the Temporary Works settings for your project and open the Minor TW allowlist page. If you do not have TWC, project admin or org admin permissions, you will see a permission denied message instead of the settings.

Open the Minor TW allowlist settings

Step 2: Review current default workflow by category

Scroll through the list of BS 5975 Temporary Works categories (such as Scaffold, Formwork, Excavation support) and review which ones are currently set to use the minor “Quick sign-off” profile by default when operators create new Temporary Works items.

Step 3: Toggle categories on or off the minor allowlist

Use the switch beside each category to add it to or remove it from the minor allowlist. Categories switched on will default to the Quick sign-off profile, and categories switched off will default to the full BS 5975 process and cannot be downgraded per item.

Step 4: Understand fire-route overrides

When configuring the list, be aware that any Temporary Works answering “yes” to the fire-route question will always use the full BS 5975 workflow, even if its category is on the minor allowlist.

Step 5: Save your updated allowlist

Once you are satisfied with the category toggles, select the Save option to apply your changes. The new defaults will be used immediately for new Temporary Works created in the wizard, with optimistic saving and automatic rollback if the update fails.

Save your updated allowlist

Step 6: Reset the allowlist to the current saved state

If you change your mind before saving, use the Reset option to discard any unsaved changes and return all category switches to the last saved configuration from the server.

Step 7: Review recent audit history

Check the read-only audit preview at the bottom of the page to see the last five allowlist changes, including who made each change, when it was made, and the before-and-after state of the affected categories.
