Complete a Quick sign-off for a minor temporary works item

Approve and sign a minor temporary works item directly from the review step, placing it straight into use with a single competent person signature.

Steps

Step 1: Review the temporary works details

On the Review step of the temporary works wizard, check the title, location, category, and key risk details for accuracy before sign-off.

Step 2: Confirm the workflow profile is set to minor

Ensure the workflow profile for the item is set to the minor option so that the Quick sign-off footer with the single-signature button is displayed instead of the standard Create button.

Step 3: Enter the competent person’s signature

In the sign-off area, use the on-screen signature pad to draw the competent person’s signature, confirming they are approving the temporary works item for immediate use.

Step 4: Save a draft of the minor sign-off (optional)

If you are not ready to complete sign-off, select the Save draft option in the footer to store the current details and return to them later without placing the item into use.

Step 5: Confirm the Quick sign-off

When all information is correct and the signature has been provided, select the Confirm sign-off button to submit the Quick sign-off request and transition the temporary works item straight to in use.

Step 6: Verify the item status is in use

After confirmation, return to the temporary works register or item overview and check that the status now shows as in use, indicating the Quick sign-off has been successfully applied.
