Review and manage document details
Use the document detail panel to review file information, download documents, upload revisions, move documents to pending, and discuss them with your team.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the document detail panel
In the project document list, select a document to open its detail panel on the right-hand side of the screen, showing key information such as title, type, status, and processing details.

Step 2: Review document information and status
Check the document’s metadata, including its type, current status badge, processing status, upload date and time, and the user or organisation associated with the document, to confirm you are viewing the correct file.

Step 3: Download the current document version
Use the Download button in the panel header or main actions area to save the latest version of the document to your computer for offline review or sharing outside the system.

Step 4: Upload a new document revision
Select the Upload revision option to open the revision upload dialog, choose the updated file from your device, and confirm the upload so the new version is stored and associated with the same document record.

Step 5: Move the document to pending status
Click the Move to pending action to update the document’s workflow status, indicating that it is awaiting review or approval; confirm the change if prompted so that the new status is reflected in the document panel and lists.

Step 6: Add a comment to the document
In the comments section, type your message into the comment text area, then press the Send button to post it; your comment will appear in the conversation thread with your name, avatar, and timestamp.

Step 7: Review existing comments and replies
Scroll through the comments thread in the panel to read previous feedback, questions, and decisions from team members, using the avatars and names to identify who contributed each comment.

Step 8: Share the document with other organisations or members
Click the Share action to open the share dialog, choose the organisations or project members you wish to share the document with, and confirm to send them access in line with your project’s sharing settings.

Step 9: Expand or collapse the detail panel
Use the expand or minimise control in the panel header to adjust the width of the document detail panel, making more space for either the panel content or the main project view as needed.

Step 10: Close the document detail panel
When you have finished reviewing or updating the document, click the Close (X) button at the top of the panel to return to the full project view without the side panel.
