Record reasons for a RAMS review decision
Record and classify why you accepted or rejected a RAMS assessment so your decisions are documented and auditable.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the review decision screen
Navigate to the RAMS review where you are making an accept or reject decision; the Reasons section appears under the decision controls.

Step 2: Select predefined reasons for your decision
Choose one or more reason chips that best describe why you are accepting or rejecting the assessment; these will be stored with the decision.

Step 3: Review the override banner when overruling the assessment
If your decision contradicts the automated or prior assessment, read the override banner explaining the context and confirming that your professional judgement is expected.

Step 4: Add a supporting note for overrides or extra detail
Enter a brief free-text explanation to capture your professional judgement; this is required when you override the assessment and optional otherwise.

Step 5: Confirm that your reasons are complete
Ensure you have selected at least one reason chip, and, for overrides, added a note so the system allows you to confirm the decision.
