Sign off RAMS via QR code

Use the QR-based public RAMS page to verify operatives, collect declarations and signatures, and complete RAMS sign-off without a PlanOps account.

Steps

Scan the QR code on site signage or documentation to open the public RAMS page for that specific job on your mobile browser.

Step 2: Review RAMS accessibility and status

Confirm that the RAMS has loaded correctly, check any warnings or status indicators, and use the back and forward navigation controls to move through the content.

Step 3: Read through the RAMS document

Scroll through the RAMS text and attached documents, using the document icons and external links to open any detailed method statements or risk assessments.

Step 4: Choose how the operative will verify identity

Select whether the operative will sign in with an existing field session or be authorised as a new operative using their personal details.

Step 5: Capture operative identity details

Enter the operative's full name, employer, trade, CSCS card details, and email address so their sign-off is clearly attributable and auditable.

Step 6: Authorise a field session (if required)

For operatives without an existing session, provide their full name, normalised mobile number, and authorisation PIN to create or confirm their field session for this RAMS.

Step 7: Answer the RAMS declaration questions

Work through each yes-or-no declaration about reading, understanding, and agreeing to the RAMS, selecting the appropriate option and reviewing any helper text provided.

Step 8: Record any stopping work reasons

If the operative cannot proceed safely, capture their reasons for stopping work in the comments field so they are logged alongside the RAMS sign-off attempt.

Use the on-screen signature capture area to collect the operative's handwritten signature, which is uploaded and stored as an attachment for this sign-off.

Step 10: Submit the RAMS sign-off

Review the entered information, then submit the completed sign-off so that the RAMS acceptance, identity details, and signature are saved against the job.

Step 11: View confirmation of completed sign-off

Check the completion screen for a success message, confirmation details, and any links back to the main PlanOps RAMS view for project records.
