Configure and run dynamic agent tasks

Configure inputs, upload supporting files, and run dynamic tasks for an AI agent within a selected project, then review and reuse the results.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the dynamic tasks panel for your agent

Navigate to the agent view and open the Dynamic Agent Tasks panel; the panel lists all available tasks for the selected agent, along with their status and IU cost.

Step 2: Choose a task to configure

Browse or search the list of tasks using the search box, then click on the task you want to run to expand its details and see the required input fields.

Step 3: Fill in text and option fields

Complete any required text, numeric, or selectable fields shown for the task, using the provided inputs and drop-downs so the agent has the information it needs to run.

Step 4: Select project documents as inputs

For any document picker fields, open the document selector, search or filter the available project documents, and choose one or more documents to attach to the task.

Step 5: Attach existing reports if needed

For report picker fields, use the report selector to find and select one or more existing project reports that should be passed into the task as context.

Step 6: Upload new supporting files

Where file upload fields are available, drag and drop files into the upload area or use the upload button to browse, then review the list of selected files and remove any that are not needed.

Step 7: Review IU cost and start the task

Check the IU cost badge for the task, then click the button to start the task; the panel will indicate that the task is running and your configured inputs are sent to the agent.

Step 8: Monitor task progress and view results

Watch the status indicators as the task runs, then open the completed task to review the execution results, including any generated documents or summaries.

Step 9: Duplicate or edit a task configuration

Use the duplicate control to create a copy of an existing task configuration, or use the edit option to adjust the task’s fields and settings before running it again.

Step 10: Create a new custom task for the agent

Open the task creator dialog, define a new task with your desired inputs and behaviour, save it, and then configure and run it from the same dynamic tasks panel.
