Configure task input fields
Use the task field palette to add different types of input fields to a task so assignees can provide the right information.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the task field palette
Open the task builder and locate the field palette panel, which lists available field types such as Text, Number, Toggle, Date, Date & Time, Dropdown, Multi-Select, Document and Project.

Step 2: Review available field types and their descriptions
Hover over or read each field type in the palette to understand its label and description, for example using a Text field for single-line text, Number for numeric values, Toggle for Yes/No switches, and Date or Date & Time for scheduling information.

Step 3: Add selection fields for predefined choices
Choose Dropdown when you want users to make a single selection from a list of options, or Multi-Select when they should be able to select multiple options, and add these fields to your task layout.

Step 4: Add document and project picker fields
Use the Document field to let users pick an existing document, and the Project field to let them select an existing project to associate with the task.

Step 5: Save your task configuration
Once you have added all required fields from the palette, save or apply your changes so that the configured fields appear whenever this task is used.
