Select an autonomy task

Use the task selector to choose or clear an autonomy task so the agent knows which predefined workflow to run.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the task selector

Navigate to the section containing the autonomy controls and click the task dropdown to open the list of available tasks. The list shows each task with a small icon and coloured label for easy visual identification.

Step 2: Review available tasks

Scroll through the task list to review the available options. Use the icons and colours to distinguish between different categories, such as document-based tasks, analysis tasks, or configuration tasks.

Step 3: Choose a task

Click on the task you want the agent to perform. The selector will close and the chosen task will appear as the current selection, ready to be used by the rest of the autonomy flow.

Step 4: Clear the current selection

If you need to remove the selected task, use the clear control in the selector (for example, a clear icon or option). This will reset the value to empty so you can leave the task unspecified or choose a different one.

Step 5: Handle loading or disabled states

When the selector appears greyed out or shows a loading indicator, wait for the tasks to finish loading or for the control to become active before making a selection, ensuring your choice is applied correctly.
