Configure an automation trigger
Configure event-based triggers that automatically run an agent task when specific activity occurs in your project, such as documents being uploaded or tasks being completed.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the trigger builder
From your automation or agents area, open the trigger builder to start creating a new trigger for your selected project.

Step 2: Choose the event that will start the trigger
On the Event step, browse or filter the list of available events (such as document created, task completed, or form submitted) and select the specific event that should activate the trigger.

Step 3: Select the agent to run when the event occurs
On the Agent step, use the agent selector to choose which agent should be executed when the selected event happens in your project.

Step 4: Choose the agent task to perform
On the Details step, pick the specific task the selected agent should run, such as processing a document, updating a record, or sending a notification.

Step 5: Map event data to task inputs
Configure input mappings so that fields from the event payload (for example, document ID, assignee, or form values) are passed into the agent task inputs, adjusting operators and conditions where available.

Step 6: Add any trigger conditions or filters
Optionally define conditions that must be met for the trigger to run, such as specific statuses, field values, or thresholds, using the available comparison operators.

Step 7: Review and confirm the trigger
On the Review step, check the selected event, agent, task, mappings, and conditions, then confirm to create the trigger or go back to adjust any details before saving.
