Filter register presets before generating

Use the compact filter bar to narrow down which items are included when generating or regenerating register presets.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the register preset filter bar

At the top of the preset dialog, locate the compact filter bar showing the Filters button, date range, and any available type, hire-stage, or status controls.

Step 2: Choose a relative date range

Select the date range control with the calendar icon, then pick a preset such as Any time, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or This year to limit items by their relevant dates.

Step 3: Filter by item type (if available)

Open the Type multi-select, tick one or more item types from the list, and close the popover to apply a live count of selected types to the filter bar.

Step 4: Narrow items by hire stage (if available)

Use the Hire stage multi-select to tick the lifecycle stages you want to include so the register only covers items in those stages.

Step 5: Toggle status or band filters

Click the rounded status or band chips to turn them on or off, highlighting active options so only items with those statuses are included.

Step 6: Clear all applied filters

Use the clear or reset control with the X icon to remove all selected filters and return the register preset to showing items from the full scope.
