Configure register filters for preset generation

Use the compact filter bar to narrow down records by date, type, stage and status before generating or regenerating register presets.

Steps

Step 1: Open the register preset filter bar

Locate the compact filter bar at the top of the register preset dialog, showing date, type, stage and status filter controls with their current selections.

Step 2: Choose a relative date range

Select the date control with the calendar icon and pick a relative date range such as Any time, Last 30 days, Last 90 days or This year to define which records are in scope.

Step 3: Filter by item type

Open the Type dropdown (if available) and choose one or more item types from the list so that only matching records are included in the register.

Step 4: Refine by hire stage

Use the Hire stage control (if available) to select the relevant lifecycle stages, narrowing the register to records currently in those stages.

Step 5: Apply status or band filters

Click the status or band toggle chips to turn specific options on or off, visually highlighting the active filters that will shape the generated preset.

Step 6: Adjust catalogue-driven axes

When additional filter axes are shown, use their labels and options to toggle individual values on or off, further refining the records used for preset generation.

Step 7: Clear all active filters

Use the clear-all control with the X icon to reset every axis back to its default state so the full register scope is available again.
