Browse and manage events

View, scroll through, and manage a list of events, including opening details, editing, creating new events, and handling empty or filtered results.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Review the current list of events

Open the Events section to see a list of event cards, each showing a summary of an individual event in either standard or compact layout, including key details such as name, date, and financial information in GBP.

Step 2: Scroll to load more events automatically

Scroll down the list; when you approach the bottom of the page, additional events load automatically using infinite scroll, indicated by a brief loading spinner or skeleton cards while new events are retrieved.

Step 3: Open event details

Select an event card to view more detailed information about that event; this action uses the view option associated with the card and typically opens a detailed view or a dedicated event page.

Step 4: Edit an existing event

Use the edit option on an event card to modify its details; this opens the event in edit mode so that you can update key information such as dates, descriptions, or financial values.

Step 5: Materialise or action an event (where available)

For events that support it, use the materialise or similar action on the event card to convert the event into a more concrete or downstream record (for example, turning a planned event into a confirmed one).

Step 6: Delete an event

Choose the delete option on an event card to remove an event from the list; you may be asked to confirm before the event is permanently removed from the system.

Step 7: Create a new event

Use the create new event option (where provided near the list or empty state) to add a new event to the system, which will then appear in the event list once saved.

Step 8: Understand loading and empty states

When events are first loading, placeholder skeleton cards appear in the list; if no events match your current filters or there are no events at all, an empty state message explains the situation and may offer shortcuts, such as clearing filters or creating a new event.

Step 9: Clear filters to see more events

If you have applied filters and the list is empty or too narrow, use the clear filters option presented in the empty state to remove filters and redisplay all relevant events.
