View event details, impacts, and links
Use the event detail dialog to review a specific event’s key attributes, understand its potential and actual impacts, and see any related links to other records or resources.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the event detail dialog
Select an event from the event list or board to open its detail dialog. The dialog appears as an overlay, showing the event’s summary information at the top.

Step 2: Review core event information
In the Details tab, review the event’s title, description, nature, type, category, likelihood, proximity, timing, owners, and any response plan or mitigation actions. Use the badges and labels to quickly assess the event’s risk profile.

Step 3: Inspect potential and actual impacts
Switch to the Impacts tab to review potential (forecast) impacts and any recorded actual impacts. Check impact categories, confidence levels, and financial values to understand the event’s overall effect.

Step 4: Review associated links
Open the Links tab to see all items linked to the event, such as related entities, documents, or external resources. Use the relationship and entity type labels to understand how each item is connected.

Step 5: Edit the event details
Click the Edit button in the dialog header or actions area to modify the event’s core details. This opens the event in the main edit flow, where you can update fields such as description, likelihood, proximity, and ownership.

Step 6: Add a new impact
From the Impacts tab, use the Add impact action to create a new potential impact, or choose the relevant option to record an actual impact. This opens the impact creation flow where you specify category, confidence, and estimated or realised values.

Step 7: Add a related link
In the Links tab, select the Add link action to associate the event with another entity or resource. Choose the entity type and relationship, then save to create the link, which will appear in the list of related items.

Step 8: Materialise the event into a workspace item
If available, use the Materialise action to convert the event into a workspace item (such as a task or record) so it can be tracked and managed in the wider workspace. Confirm the action to create and open the new workspace item.

Step 9: Delete the event
Use the Delete action in the dialog to remove the event when it is no longer needed. Confirm the deletion in the prompt; the event and its associated impacts and links will no longer be available in the event list.
