Schedule an automated task

Configure and review an automated task schedule so it runs at the right cadence with the right inputs.

Steps

Step 1: Open the schedule task wizard

Open the schedule task wizard from the relevant task or agent, ensuring the wizard is set to create a new schedule or edit an existing one as needed.

Step 2: Review the pre-filled task details

Check the pre-filled task name, agent, project and any captured inputs so you understand which task you are scheduling.

Step 3: Configure the recurrence and timing

Use the schedule configuration panel to choose how often the task should run, such as daily, weekly or monthly, and set the specific days and times.

Step 4: Review projected monthly usage

Review the projected monthly IU usage, based on the estimated cost per run and your chosen frequency, to ensure the schedule fits within your budget.

Step 5: Review captured input values

Confirm the captured input values for the task, such as options, flags or parameters, so that each scheduled run uses the correct configuration.

Step 6: Edit task inputs if needed

Use the edit controls to adjust any of the task inputs and immediately see the updated values reflected in the review list.

Step 7: Confirm and create the schedule

Complete the wizard to create a new schedule, saving the cadence and inputs so the task runs automatically at the configured times.

Step 8: Edit an existing schedule

When opening the wizard in edit mode, review the existing cadence and inputs, make any required changes and save to update the existing schedule.
