This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Locate comparison chips in the documents list

Open the unified documents list or grid and look for small rounded chips next to each drawing, labelled with statuses such as "Changes", "Comparing…", "Compare failed", or "Not compared".

Step 3: Recognise drawings still being compared

Notice any neutral "Comparing…" chips, which indicate that the system is still processing the comparison and no diff is available to review yet.

Step 4: Spot comparison failures

Look for amber "Compare failed" chips, which show that an attempted comparison did not succeed so you may need to follow up or try again later in another view.

Step 5: Understand why some drawings are not compared

Hover over muted "Not compared" chips to see a tooltip explaining why a drawing was excluded, for example because it is multi-page or its page count is unknown.

Step 6: Distinguish between revisions and comparisons

Use the comparison chips alongside any separate revision indicators to understand whether a drawing both has a new revision and a usable comparison, or only one of the two.
