Review and navigate your project Gantt chart
Use the Gantt chart to review project tasks on a timeline, adjust the visible period with zoom controls, and quickly jump to today or other project dates.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Gantt chart for your project
Navigate to the programme view for your selected project to display the Gantt chart, which shows all available tasks plotted along a timeline.

Step 2: Adjust the zoom level for the timeline
Use the zoom controls in the Gantt toolbar to switch between week, month, quarter or year views, changing how much detail is shown for each day on the chart.

Step 3: Move backwards and forwards along the timeline
Click the left and right navigation buttons to scroll the visible date range and review earlier or later phases of the project.

Step 4: Jump the view back to today
Use the Today button to instantly refocus the chart around the current date, helping you see what is in progress or about to start.

Step 5: Inspect individual tasks on the chart
Hover over or click a task bar to see more detail about that activity; when supported, selecting a bar can open further task information elsewhere in the application.

Step 6: Filter tasks to focus your view
Use the toolbar filters to limit the chart to tasks with specific statuses or priorities, or to show only critical path or slipped tasks when these options are available.

Step 7: Export the current Gantt view
When enabled, use the export option in the toolbar to download or share the current Gantt chart view for reporting or stakeholder updates.
