Review task details in the Gantt chart

Use the Gantt task bar to review task details, status, priority and schedule context directly from the programme view.

Steps

Step 1: Locate the task in the Gantt programme view

Open the programme view and scroll vertically until you can see the task row you want to review in the Gantt chart.

Step 2: Review task name, status and indicators

Look at the left-hand sticky task info column to see the task name, its coloured status pill, and any additional indicators such as Critical or Slipped.

Step 3: Assess task priority from the side border

Use the coloured vertical bar on the far left of the task info column to understand the task’s priority level at a glance, based on the border colour.

Step 4: Hover over the task to highlight its row

Move your mouse over the task info column to highlight the row and reveal any subtle hover styling that helps you focus on this task within the programme.

Hover over a task to see it and its related predecessor or dependent tasks subtly highlighted, helping you understand task relationships in the programme.

Step 6: Click the task to open detailed information

Click anywhere within the task info column to trigger the task click action, such as opening a detailed side panel or modal for deeper review (depending on your configuration).
