View task details on the Gantt chart

Use the Gantt chart task bar to review key information about a task, including its status, dependencies, phase, and critical path.

Steps

Step 1: Locate the task on the Gantt chart

Navigate to the programme view and identify the task bar you want to review by its name and position on the timeline.

Move your cursor over the task row to highlight the task and visually indicate any related predecessor or dependent tasks.

Step 3: Review task status, phase, and critical path

Look at the coloured bar and left-hand phase band to understand the task’s phase, status colour, and whether it is on the critical path.

Step 4: Click the task to access further task actions

Click anywhere in the task information column to open any additional task actions or detail views provided by the programme screen.
