Manage task completion notifications

Enable or review notifications that let you know when an individual task has finished running.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Check if task completion notifications are already enabled​

When you start or review a task, look for the notification banner with a bell icon confirming "We'll notify you when this finishes." This means your standing notification preferences already cover this task and you do not need to change anything.

Step 2: Turn task completion notifications on or off for this run​

If the confirmation banner is not shown, use the "Notify me when this task finishes (email + in-app)" toggle to opt in or out for this specific task run. Slide the switch to the right to receive an email and in-app notification when the task completes, or slide it to the left to disable notifications for this run.

Step 3: Open your notification settings to adjust defaults​

Use the "Manage notification settings" link next to the toggle to open your notification preferences page. From there, update your default notification rules so future tasks may automatically send completion alerts without needing to adjust the per-task toggle.
