Create a quick incident report from a project
Use the Quick Report modal to draft and submit a short incident report for a specific project, with clear inline feedback if something goes wrong.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Quick Report modal for your project
From your project view, select the option to create a quick report; the Quick Report modal opens so you can draft a short report linked to the current project.

Step 2: Enter your report title and details
Type a clear title and concise description of the issue or incident in the fields provided, ensuring you include all information your project admin or stakeholders will need.

Step 3: Submit the report using Create report
When you are satisfied with your summary, select "Create report" to send it; the system attempts to save your report for the selected project.

Step 4: Respond to an inline access error (no permission)
If you do not have permission to create reports on this project, an inline banner in the modal explains that you do not have access; use the "Ask a project admin for access" guidance and "Copy report text" option to share your drafted report with someone who can help.

Step 5: Retry after a temporary system error
If a temporary error occurs (such as a server problem), an inline message appears but the "Create report" button stays enabled so you can try submitting the same report again with one click.

Step 6: Sign back in if your session has expired
If your authentication has expired, the modal shows an inline message such as "You've been signed out" so you can sign in again before retrying the report submission.

Step 7: Edit your report to clear error messages
As soon as you change the title or content after an error, the inline banner is cleared so you can focus on updating your report and then submit it again.
