Set up your first construction project from the onboarding modal

Use the first-run onboarding modal to create your first construction project or explore a sample project before you start working.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the first-run onboarding modal​

When you sign in with no existing projects, the first-run onboarding modal opens automatically and covers the screen so you can set up your first project.

Step 2: Enter your project name​

In the project setup panel on the left, type a clear, recognisable name for your project into the project name field so it is easy to find later.

Step 3: Confirm the project stage​

The stage picker is pre-set to Construction and cannot be changed yet, so review the live build phase label to confirm you are creating a construction project.

Step 4: Optional - Register interest in future stages​

If you are interested in Pre-construction, Design, or Handover, use the inline Notify me options next to the disabled stages to join the waitlist for future releases.

Step 5: Create your construction project​

Select Create project to submit the form; the button shows a loading indicator while your project is being created, then the modal closes and you are taken to your new project.

Step 6: Alternative - Try a sample project​

If you are not ready to create your own project, choose Try a sample project to load a pre-populated example and explore how the workspace looks and behaves.

Step 7: Review any error messages​

If something goes wrong while creating your project, read the error message shown in the modal and correct any issues before selecting Create project again.
