View key project details in the project ribbon

Use the project ribbon to quickly see project initials, dates, budget, and programme progress at the top of the project home area.

Steps

Step 1: Open a project to view its ribbon

When you open a project, the project ribbon appears at the top, showing the project name, coloured badge with initials, and quick-access information such as dates and budget.

Step 2: Review project identity and basic details

Check the project name and the initials badge on the left of the ribbon, which helps you quickly confirm you are working in the correct project.

Step 3: Check programme dates and current week

Look at the programme section to see the start and end dates in a short format, along with the current week indicator displayed as a label such as "3 of 10".

Step 4: Monitor programme progress

Use the progress indicator in the ribbon to understand how far through the programme the project is, based on elapsed time between the start and end dates.

Step 5: Review the project budget summary

View the budget summary in the ribbon, which displays the total budget in the correct currency with the appropriate symbol, such as £ for GBP or € for EUR.

Step 6: Open project management options

Select the manage project button or settings control on the ribbon to open any available management options configured for your project.
