Choose items with the picker popover
Use the picker popover to search, review, and select items from a filtered list, or start creating a new item when needed.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the picker
Click the picker field button to open the popover or bottom sheet and view the searchable list of available items.
Step 2: Search for an item
Type a keyword into the search box to filter the list; the picker updates in real time and shows loading, empty, or error states when relevant.
Step 3: Select the item you need
Click an item in the list to select it; the picker closes and the chosen item’s label and details appear in the trigger button.
Step 4: Add a new item if it is missing
If the list does not contain what you need, use the add-new option in the footer to start creating a new item based on your current search.
Step 5: Cancel without making changes
Close the popover or bottom sheet to exit the picker without changing your current selection.
