Pick a lifecycle item for your project
Use the lifecycle item picker to choose the correct tracked entry for your project, including temporary works items that do not yet have a lifecycle code.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the lifecycle item picker
Navigate to the part of the project screen where lifecycle or tracked entries are managed, then click the lifecycle item field to open the picker combobox.
Step 2: Review the currently selected item
In the combobox, check the displayed reference and title (for example, "TW-013 — Additional façade retention") to confirm the correct item is selected, even if it has no lifecycle code.
Step 3: Change to a different lifecycle item if needed
Use the combobox to search or browse available lifecycle or temporary works items, then select the one that best matches the work you need to track.
Step 4: Confirm your selection in the project view
Return to the project view and verify that the chosen lifecycle item now appears against the relevant task or entry without any errors.
