Manage project insights

Capture, review, filter, and update insights for a specific project to track risks, opportunities, and key findings.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Project Insights section

Navigate to the Project Insights page for your chosen project; the main insights list, summary cards, and filters will load automatically.

Step 2: Review insight summary and key metrics

At the top of the section, review the summary cards showing counts by status, category, and priority to understand the current state of project insights.

Step 3: Filter insights by category, status, or priority

Use the filter controls to select one or more categories, priorities, statuses, or include archived items; the list updates automatically and active filters appear as badges above the list.

Step 4: Reset all insight filters

Click the reset or clear filters option to remove all active filters and return to the default view of all relevant insights.

Step 5: Refresh the insights list

Select the refresh action to reload the latest insights from the server; a loading state appears briefly and a confirmation message indicates that insights have been refreshed.

Step 6: Create a new insight

Click the add or plus button to open the insight dialog, then enter details such as title, description, category, priority, and status before saving to add the new insight to the list.

Step 7: View insight details

Click an insight in the list to open the detail dialog, where you can read the full description, see metadata such as category, priority, and status, and review any additional context.

Step 8: Edit an existing insight

From the list or detail view, choose the edit option to open the create/edit dialog pre-filled with the insight; adjust fields as needed and save to update the insight across the list.

Step 9: Close an insight

Use the close insight action to open the close dialog, confirm the closure details (such as final status or notes), and apply the change so the insight is marked as closed.

Step 10: Archive an insight

Select the archive option on an insight to move it out of the active list; archived items will only appear when the “include archived” filter is enabled.

Step 11: Remove a status, category, or priority from an insight

Use the relevant remove action on an insight to clear its status, category, or priority; the insight is updated immediately to reflect the removal.

Step 12: Load more insights

If more insights are available, click the load more button at the bottom of the list to retrieve additional insights until all have been loaded.
