Review and approve RFI answers at the hold point

Review an answered RFI, decide whether to accept it or request more detail, and move the RFI to the appropriate status.

Steps

Step 1: Open the RFI answer hold point

Navigate to the RFI workspace item and open the RFI answer page; once a submission exists, the review hold point becomes visible, showing who answered and when.

Step 2: Read the RFI answer and attribution

Review the submitted answer text and check the attribution details, including the responder’s name and submission date, to confirm it is ready to be closed or needs more detail.

Step 3: Accept the RFI answer

If the answer is satisfactory, select the option to accept the answer; this triggers the accept action in the background and moves the RFI towards a closed status.

Step 4: Request resubmission with more detail

If the answer is incomplete or unclear, choose the option to ask for more detail; this sends a resubmission request and returns the RFI to an under review state for the recipient to update.
