View and manage project schedule in the calendar

Use the calendar to review project events and tasks by month, week or list, filter what you see, and add or update project work items.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the calendar for your project

Navigate to the calendar section for the selected project to see events and tasks displayed for the current date range.

Step 2: Switch between calendar views

Use the view controls to toggle between month, week and list views so you can see either a broad timeline or detailed daily schedule.

Step 3: Move between dates

Use the previous and next controls to move the calendar backwards or forwards in time, or return to the current date to re‑centre your view.

Step 4: Filter events and tasks

Apply filters by event type, priority or assigned users to focus on just the meetings, milestones or tasks that are relevant to you.

Step 5: Review event, task and workspace item details

Click an event or task in the calendar or list view to see more details, including any linked workspace item, without leaving the calendar.

Step 6: Add a new calendar event

Open the add event dialog from the calendar toolbar, enter the event details such as meeting or milestone information, and save it to place it on the calendar.

Step 7: Add a new task from the calendar

Open the add task dialog, provide task information such as title, dates and ownership, and create it so it appears in the calendar and task views.

Step 8: Update or reschedule an existing event or task

Select an existing event or task and adjust its details, such as dates, type, status or priority, so that the calendar always reflects the latest plan.

Step 9: Delete an event or task you no longer need

Use the delete option on a selected event or task to remove it from the calendar when it is cancelled or entered in error.

Step 10: Switch between calendar and task progress views

Use the tabs to switch from the calendar to the task progress section, where you can track overall task completion for the project.
