Control access to paid features
Use feature access rules to control which billing plan tiers can use specific features, and guide users to upgrade when they do not have access.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Review available gated features
Open the feature access settings area to see the list of features that can be limited to specific billing tiers, along with their current access rules and any custom messages.

Step 2: Set the required plan tier for a feature
For each feature you want to control, choose the minimum subscription tier that should have access so that only users on that plan or higher can see and use the feature.

Step 3: Customise the upgrade prompt message
Edit the message that will appear to users who do not have access to a feature so it clearly explains why it is locked and how upgrading their plan will unlock it.

Step 4: Choose what non-eligible users see instead
Decide whether users without access should see an upgrade prompt, an alternative fallback view, or nothing at all for each gated feature.

Step 5: Confirm loading behaviour for gated areas
Check how gated features appear while access is being verified, ensuring that users see a suitable loading state until their access is confirmed.
