Use contextual help while onboarding

Learn how to access and use the contextual help panel to find route-specific guidance, quick actions, and tips while working in the onboarding area of the app.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the contextual help panel

While viewing any onboarding screen, look for the contextual help icon or button (often shown as a question mark or “Help” label) and select it to open the help panel on the side of the page. The panel will slide in and display information relevant to the page you are currently on.

Step 2: Review page-specific guidance

At the top of the help panel, read the title and description that explain the purpose of the page you are on (for example, “Dashboard Overview” or “Document Management”) so you understand what you can achieve on that screen.

Step 3: Use quick actions to jump to key tasks

In the “Quick actions” area, review the available options (such as “Upload a document” or “Run an agent”) and select a quick action to be taken directly to the relevant part of the app or trigger the associated action.

Step 4: Expand and read contextual sections

Scroll through any contextual sections shown in the panel. If a section is expandable, select the chevron to expand it and read more detailed guidance. Follow any links provided in a section to open full help content in a new view or tab.

Step 5: Browse tips and best practices

Look at the list of tips for the current page to see recommended ways of working, shortcuts, or best practices. Use these suggestions to optimise how you configure your dashboard or manage documents and agents.

Step 6: Open full help from the panel

If you need more detail, select the option or link that opens the full help experience (for example, a “View full help” button or external link icon). This will use the full help handler to show more comprehensive documentation while keeping your place in the app.

Step 7: Trigger inline quick actions

Where available, select any inline quick-action buttons inside the panel (for instance, to start a suggested task) to immediately perform that action without manually navigating through the main interface.

Step 8: Close the contextual help panel

When you have finished, close the panel by selecting the X icon at the top-right of the help panel. The main page content remains unchanged and you can reopen the panel at any time if you need further guidance.
