Assess and create temporary works items
Work out what temporary works your project needs from the drawings and programme, then get a BS 5975 register entry raised for each one, ready to design-check, sign off and inspect.
A temporary works register with an item raised for every temporary works the project needs, each linked to its package and RAMS and ready for sign-off.
A temporary works schedule read out of your drawings and programme against UK guidance (BS 5975:2019, CIRIA, the TWf and HSE), with a compliant register entry created for each item. Every item carries its details, sign-offs under BS 5975, and links to the package and RAMS it belongs to, so the temporary works co-ordinator can see what needs designing, checking and inspecting — and you have a register you can defend at audit.

Steps
Steps marked ⚡ AI task are done for you by a PlanOps AI assistant, run from the Assistant Hub on your project home.
Step 1: Bring in the drawings, specifications and programme
Add the structural drawings, specifications and method statements to the project, so the assessment has the real design and schedule to read from. The more it can see, the more of the temporary works it will find.

Step 2: Run the temporary works assessment ⚡ AI task
Point the assessment at your drawings and programme and let PlanOps identify the temporary works the job needs — the propping, falsework, scaffolds, excavations and the rest. It produces a schedule against BS 5975, CIRIA and TWf guidance and raises a register entry for each item, so nothing high-risk goes unrecorded.
Run on demand from the Assistant Hub.

Step 3: Review the assessment and schedule
Read the report to see each temporary works it found, the risk it carries and the guidance behind it. Check the schedule matches the job before you rely on the new register entries.

Step 4: Check the new register on the dashboard
Open the temporary works dashboard to see every item the assessment created and its status. The red, amber and green markers show you what still needs a design check, a sign-off or an inspection.

Step 5: Fill in the details on each item
Open each register item and set the details the assessment could not read from the documents — its location, category and how often it needs inspecting — so the record matches what is actually going up on site.

Step 6: Set up the sign-offs under BS 5975
For each item, set who needs to sign it off — the temporary works supervisor, designer, independent checker, contractor TWC and site manager — so approval is tracked and no work proceeds without it.

Step 7: Link each item to its package and RAMS
Join each temporary works item to the work package it supports and the RAMS that covers it, so anyone can see which temporary works applies to which work and that its risk is assessed.
