Generate, edit and share a document

Let PlanOps draft a document from your project, then make it yours — change the wording, move sections about, drop in a register or a supporting document, and send it out as a PDF or a secure link.

Goal

A generated document, edited to fit your project, exported and shared.

What you walk away with

A document PlanOps drafted from your project, refined section by section with registers and supporting documents added where you need them, then exported to PDF and shared by secure link — ready to issue without rebuilding it by hand.

Steps

Steps marked ⚡ AI task are done for you by a PlanOps AI assistant, run from the Assistant Hub on your project home.

Step 1: Generate the document ⚡ AI task

Pick the generator for the document you need and let PlanOps draft it from your project — here, a Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan built from your pre-construction information, section by section with your confirmation along the way.

Run on demand from the Assistant Hub.

Step 2: Open the generated document

Open the finished document from your documents list. The split view lets you read each section and check its content, versions and comments before you start making changes.

Step 3: Update a section's content

Go into compose mode and edit any section — rewrite the wording, add your own notes, or regenerate a section you are not happy with so it reads the way your project needs.

Step 4: Move sections and add a register

Still in compose mode, reorder sections so the document flows the right way, and drop in a register block — a live snapshot of workspace items such as plant or risks — where it belongs.

Step 5: Embed supporting documents

Insert a supporting document into a section — a certificate, a drawing, a specification — and choose whether the whole file or just certain pages appear in the export.

Step 6: Choose the pages and export to PDF

Pick the pages you want — the full document or a specific set — and export a clean PDF you can save to the project or send on.

Step 7: Share the document

Share the finished document by a secure public link and QR code, with access controls and an expiry date, so the people who need it can see it without a PlanOps login.
